Catherine Cogdill - Adjunct Teacher Coding and Technology Coordinator
Can you trust someone that spent seventeen years raising her own kids to understand the impact of technology? Yes, and that is why Catherine chose to help a small district keep up with technology, and not be left behind, when she decided to return to the work force. Catherine is quick to tell you that technology is constantly changing and students do not have the option not to keep up. “Technology is essential in our world, so you really don’t have a choice but to connect.“ She is excited that the school has brand-new interactive classroom displays, Promethean Elements Series Panels, in the classrooms. “These panels will bring a new level of interactive learning to our students.” Her coding classes are in a partnership with Amazon and she believes coding is a great learning experience. “It allows kids to struggle, fail, and keep going forward. It is a great life lesson.” PREPARATION: Bachelors from Salisbury State University 1983, Masters from San Jose State University 2001. Oregon Registered Teacher.
